The Doghouse Romeo’s are Dave Garner and Pete Zounis; two seasoned and professional musicians who bring their own brand of acoustic roots, rock and pop music. With deft guitar playing and sometimes strong – sometimes subtle harmonies, Dave and Pete will set the right mood for your venue or function. Dave Garner has been a part of the Sydney music scene for over 30 years. He is the frontman for The Usual Suspects, a stalwart of the Sydney scene for 12 years, and brings that experience to the Doghouse Romeo’s. He has, through the strength of his original music, supported and played with such artists as Greg Page, (The Wiggles) Mick Thomas (Weddings, Parties, Anything), Peter Sarstedt and Chris Wilson. He has written and contributed songs for film and stage and continues to write and record original material. He has independently released 5 successful albums. Dave’s dynamic stage presence, ease with an audience and deep repertoire allow him to be the versatile performer he has become known for. Pete Zounis is the frontman and driving force behind Sydney blues band Zounis. A talented singer, guitar player and all round showman Pete brings a broad palette to his playing. Sometimes soft, sometimes edgy, but always entertaining, Pete is the consummate entertainer. He has played with such talents as the Brewster Brothers, Tim Rogers, Lionel Rose, Doc Neeson and a couple of Wiggles (Wiggles tend to gravitate to these two). As a founding member of acoustic duo Hot Licks his 30 + year history and experience see’s Pete capable of playing any venue, any event anytime.
